- One of the ways that you can reduce the usage of chemical cleaning products in order to save the environment is by using sheets of newspaper with spray water. This method can be applied when you are cleaning glass windows and not only recycles the newspaper but it is also chemical free, plus the newspaper makes your glass windows gleam and shiny.
- In order to remove grease stain without using chemical products is by using citrus fruit such as oranges, lemons or limejuice. But first you must soak the fruits a bit in some sudsy water. This method is suitable for surfaces (lemons), plastic furniture and toys, dishes (oranges) and stove countertop. Do not use citrus on material that can be stained such as wood or fabric. You can also add a little soap with at least an inch of water onto an offending pot or pan before starting to boil it away especially for tough grease.
- In order to eliminate creaks, you simply can use a bit of baking powder in the crack wood and wipe it up by using a damp towel. Furthermore, you can keep the wood clean along with a healthy luster, just add 1/4 cup of olive oil to warm water and mop to the item. Olive oil is used because it has antibacterial and antimicrobial power and that is why the Romans used it as their body cleanser and lotions.
- For cleaning your carpets of germ and dirt, you can use a steam cleaner or rent it once in every two months, and add a cup of distilled vinegar. As for stains, distilled vinegar or white wine can also be used to remove them instead of using chemical formula products.
